Dr. Masiano's research interests are in understanding barriers to access health care services, application of quantitative methods in implementation research, assessing implementation costs, and conducting cost-effectiveness analyses within implementation research. He has authored articles on healthcare outcomes and structural barriers to healthcare access among vulnerable populations both in Malawi and the U.S. He has also authored articles that have contributed to our understanding of the cost-effectiveness of interventions aimed to improve access to healthcare services.
Dr. Steven Masiano's primary appointment at Cleveland Clinic is within the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences as Assistant Staff. He also serves as a Quantitative Methodologist in the Healthcare Delivery & Implementation Science Center.
Dr. Masiano received a Master of Science in Global Health Policy and Management from Brandeis University (2013), a PhD in Healthcare Policy and Research from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2018, and a post-doctoral fellowship in Global HIV Implementation Science with the Baylor College of Medicine (2021). He is a former Fulbright Scholar.
