Dr. Beck is Head of the Department’s Clinical Trials and Design Section. Dr. Beck and other members of the section collaborate with many clinical investigators on their research studies, at Cleveland Clinic and nationally, primarily by leading and participating in Data Coordinating Centers for multi-center clinical trials and observational studies. Their studies are mostly NIH supported and are in kidney and pulmonary disease.

Currently, Dr. Beck is the Co-Principal Investigator of the Data Coordinating Center for the NHLBI supported Pulmonary Vascular Disease Phenomics Program (PVDOMICS). He is currently Co-investigator of: a major NIH supported study (BEAR-MOON) of ACL repair, the Cystic Fibrosis Lung Transplant Consortium (CFLTC) Biorepository Coordinating Center, and the CYCLE-AD clinical trial: Randomized Controlled Trial to Assess the Efficacy of Indoor Cycling in Slowing Disease Progression in Healthy Older Persons at Genetic Risk for Alzheimer’s Disease.
