Message from the Chair
The Department of Quantitative Health Sciences includes a diverse multidisciplinary group of caregivers who conduct translational medical research to improve patient care. Our team sections include:
Biostatistics provides statistical support and collaboration with investigators in a host of clinical areas.
The Center for Populations Health Research offers collaboration for project partnerships, statistical analysis and grant development support for research projects relating to population health.
The Clinical Trials Design & Analysis Section collaborates with investigators from across the U.S. as a Data Coordinating Center and a multi-disciplinary team to design randomized clinical trial and prospective cohort studies.
Health Outcomes Research & Clinical Epidemiology collaborates with investigators on quality-of-life assessment tools, cost effectiveness analyses, epidemiological research and the development of risk calculators for several diseases.
Molecular & Translational Data Sciences conducts and interprets analyses of genetic data.
Research Informatics & Data Engineering focuses on providing data extraction, registry development and maintenance services for a range of studies.
The Center for Quantitative Metabolic Research fosters novel and creative solutions for the challenges of treating and managing metabolic diseases.
As a whole, the department produces important and novel research with real-life applications to advance patient care.
