Imaging Core
The Imaging Core was created at the end of 1998 by merging the already existing Electron Microscopy Core with the Confocal Core to provide a broader scope of imaging services. The resulting consolidation took up residence in the new Lerner Research Institute building in March 1999. Histology services were added in June 1999 concomitant with the hiring of Linda Vargo to head the Histology division. Electron Microscopy services have recently been added with the hiring of Mei Yin.
There are now three divisions: Digital Imaging, Histology, and Electron Microscopy
