The Lerner Research Institute Communications Office raises the public awareness of the Institute and its achievements by explaining its mission and research.
Notations is a monthly electronic newsletter that includes current updates on research advances, staff, grants and other activities. Recipients can subscribe online at the Institute's web site.
Lerner Research Institute Magazine is published twice annually. Its feature stories provide in-depth and easy-to-understand looks at the cutting-edge laboratory-based and translational research underway at the Institute.
Educational recruitment and development – attracting quality postdoctoral fellows and grad students and generating financial support, respectively – are essential components to the vitality and health or the Institute. The office supports both endeavors by producing newsletters and other communications plans and materials that promote the opportunities at the Institute.
The Communications Office works closely with Cleveland Clinic’s Media Relations and Marketing Departments. This includes identifying stories that might be placed in the general media, posted on internal web sites or used in a variety of publications that are distributed to patients and their families.
Scientific Report is a compilation of all research programs conducted within the laboratories of more than 190 laboratory-based investigators in our departments and Centers of Research. Support services are also summarized in the biennial report. This report informs scientific peers, industrial associates and interested scientific professionals about details of the Institute’s research projects and the individuals who direct those studies.
