IVF Technologist

JOB SUMMARY:

Works in Fertility clinic and associated research laboratories under the direction of the In Vitro Fertilization Lab Director. Technician will perform clinical and research duties in a high-volume in vitro fertilization program.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree with a major in Biological Science or a Biomedical Engineering degree with an interest in tissue engineering. Good eye-hand coordination. Ability to operate autonomously in all laboratory operations. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to interact with patients, physicians, nurses and other employees. Minimum one year laboratory experience in cell biology, tissue culture, animal cell sciences or molecular biology. Experience operating basic lab equipment such as: analytical balances, pH meters, osmometers, stereo and inverted microscopes. Typical physical demands include a high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC, normal or corrected vision, extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying 5 to 15 pounds.
