E. Ricky Chan, Ph.D.:
Post Doctoral Research Fellow
Ricky Chan received his Ph.D. under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Adams at Case Western Reserve University in 2009. He is involved in our current Malaria genomic projects in collaboration with Pete Zimmerman (CWRU). He is responsible for the sequencing and analysis of Plasmodium vivax genomes from Madagascar.

Jim Hester: Programmer/Analyst Jim Hester graduated in 2008 from Kent State University (Ohio). He maintains the lab servers and provides bioinformatics support. He currently works on the metabolic programming projects and is responsible for most of the high-throughput sequencing data analysis.

Matt Cannon  

Matthew Cannon, Ph.D.:
Post Doctoral Research Fellow
Matt Cannon received his Ph.D. in pathobiology from Auburn University (Alabama) in 2011. Matt is overseeing our mouse colony and is responsible for all analyses related to the metabolic programming projects, both in humans and mice.

Kyle J. Logue:
Biology Graduate Student (CWRU)
Kyle Logue is a biology graduate student conducting his Ph.D. research jointly in the Serre and Zimmerman labs. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2010 with a BS in microbiology. Kyle is working on whole genome sequencing of Anopheles punctulatus sibling species from Papua New Guinea.
